Dentaid plans a busy programme of summer fundraising events
Whether it’s leaping from an aeroplane, teeing off on the golf course or cycling 100 miles through London, international dental charity Dentaid has a host of exciting fundraising events taking place this summer.
Adventurous fundraisers are invited to sign up for the first Dentaid Skydive taking place at Old Sarum airfield in Salisbury on Saturday, June 9th. Participants will take a leap from 10,000 feet and freefall at 125mph before gently floating back down to earth. Each jumper is asked to pay a £50 registration fee and raise £300 in sponsorship.
For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, Dentaid’s annual golf day will take place at Dudsbury Manor Golf Club and Spa in Bournemouth on Friday, June 22. Teams of four are invited to compete for the trophy and tickets cost £65 per player including breakfast, a two-course lunch and a round of golf on the award-winning course.
On Sunday July 29, thousands of cyclists will take to the streets of London and Surrey in the Ride London 100 Mile Challenge. The event has sold out but Dentaid has a handful of places left in the popular ride. Cyclists are asked to raise £500 in sponsorship in addition to the £125 registration fee.
“We are really excited to have such a varied fundraising programme this summer - there’s something for everyone,” said Dentaid’s fundraising officer Heidi Robinson. “All the money we raise will allow us to help people living in some of the poorest communities in the world access the dental care they need and also help to fund our projects for homeless and vulnerable people in the UK.”
