Planmeca CALM: Perfect CBCT imaging time after time

The first ever end-user solution for patient movement artifact correction in the dental profession, the Planmeca CALM™ algorithm not only saves time but also guards patients from unnecessary repeat exposures.

Patient movement artifacts, unwanted imaging anomalies caused by patient movement during a scan, are amongst the most significant challenges to CBCT image quality. Planmeca CALM cancels the effects caused by movement, which means perfect images first time, every time.

Planmeca CALM algorithm is available as a software update for all Planmeca 3D imaging units. It adds under 30 seconds to the overall reconstruction time and can be used with all volume and voxel sizes. It can be applied both after the scan is complete or before exposure to ensure that the volumes are already corrected when accessed in the Planmeca Romexis® imaging software.

Planmeca CALM is particularly useful when imaging restless or livelier patients such as children, people with special needs, or elderly patients; but whomever the subject the algorithm adds value to any image by improving its quality.
