The Planmeca PlanMill® 40 S milling unit has been designed for fast and accurate milling in-surgery. Its enhanced performance characteristics and smart features provide the most advanced milling experience available in the dental practice, making it an essential feature in today’s digital dental workflow.

This state-of-the art milling unit offers outstanding cutting precision, accurate to within microns, and the unit’s SMART tool paths have been optimised to meet the needs of a broad range of different material characteristics. Planmeca PlanMill 40 S is a robust, highly efficient workhorse. Its 4-axis dual spindles produce crowns in approximately 8–10 minutes per restoration. With 10 tools to choose from it features an automated tool changer that, in addition to selecting the right tool for each task, will also automatically replace burs that are worn or broken.

From daily cleanings and water changes to annual preventive maintenance functions, the guided maintenance wizard of Planmeca PlanMill 40 S makes caring for the unit straightforward. The unit is part of Planmeca FIT® – the chairside CAD/CAM system that simplifies the entire restorative digital workflow, from scanning to designing and milling.
